I often joke with my clients that the job of remarketing ads is to haunt people with a reminder they still exist.
It isn’t meant disparagingly. While I’m a strong advocate for privacy protections and sympathize with a lot of dystopian cynicism, I don’t see an issue with clean remarketing. I’m glad to be reminded of the pants I put in that cart 6 months ago. That’s how long I needed to think about it, I’m ready to buy them now.
