Disney’s lawyers argued against the case proceeding in court because the widower had signed up for a one-month free trial account of Disney+ in 2019. They said the language in the Terms & Conditions clearly stated that he agreed to not sue Disney.

In 2024, the shooting of a healthcare insurance CEO grew the public’s awareness of how corporations use their terms to "delay" and "deny" coverage to its customers.

Terms & Conditions are consistently getting updated. This comic is what flashes in my brain every time I get an email joyfully announcing that a corporation has found some new way to protect themselves.
