postscript

A friend got me to think about this comic more deeply than I planned after showing him an earlier draft.

For this postscript, here’s what I wrote to him:

There's the obvious ‘going too far with AI’. First, with wiping out Google's stated mission of organizing the world's information by replacing it with its own regurgitation—screwing over creators. Second, eating its own creators.

I suppose the wine isn't deep, but hey, it's a comic. A soulless imitation of the humanity it’s consumed.

The over the top end panel is my point (this doesn’t end well) and ham attempt at nodding to Ray Bradbury's short story "There Will Come Soft Rains".

There ya go, some silly dark humor diluted with explanation.
